Salazar, a talented Chilean driver known for his determination and versatility across Formula 1, sports cars, and later IndyCar racing, faced the unique challenge of Monaco’s narrow streets and unforgiving barriers. What set the ATS D5 apart from many of its contemporaries was its lightweight aluminum monocoque chassis and compact aerodynamic design, engineered to maximize agility on technical circuits. Powered by the dependable Ford Cosworth DFV V8 engine, the D5 relied on balanced handling and mechanical simplicity rather than sheer power, making it particularly suited to demanding tracks where precision and driver skill were paramount.Spark models are hand painted, decorated and assembled. Each model is created using a variety of production processes, such as hand cast resin, diecast and injected molded thermoplastics.Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are also used. Spark ensures the absolute best quality possible. Each model comes with its own acrylic display case.
