1932 Ford Deuce Highboy in 1:24 scale by Danbury Mint

Detailed Description

  • Exterior & Body: Captured in an authentic highboy configuration (featuring un-fendered or cleanly channeled open-wheel styling depending on the specific release variant, such as the classic Deluxe Roadster and Lake Bed/Street variants), it features a flawless, high-gloss automotive paint finish. Equipment includes a chrome-plated radiator shell, traditional dropped front axle, split wishbone suspension, authentic vintage-style lighting, and a fold-down windshield frame.

  • Interior: The cockpit features a richly appointed bench seat or individual bucket layout with textured upholstery grain, a fully instrumented dashboard with readable analog gauge faces, a realistic steering wheel column, and operational door handles. Depending on the specific release configuration, it includes options for a removable soft-top or a neatly tucked rumble seat compartment.

  • Engine Compartment: Under the side-hinged or fully removable multi-piece hood panels sits a meticulously wired and plumbed flathead V-8 engine (or period-correct modified high-performance mill). It features simulated fuel lines, generator wiring, radiator hoses, and detailed intake and exhaust headers.

  • Chassis & Wheels: The undercarriage showcases a true-to-life ladder frame, working functional suspension springs, a realistic dual exhaust system, and authentic wire-spoke wheels wrapped in thin profile whitewall or blackwall vintage tires.

Production Dates

  • First Production / Release: Introduced into Danbury Mint’s premier classic car and hot-rod line in the early 2000s as part of their targeted expansion into iconic American traditional hot rods and pre-war milestones.

  • Last Production / Discontinuation: Production permanently ceased alongside the discontinuation of Danbury Mint’s entire scale-model diecast division, making the model exclusively available through the secondary collector market.
