YF-117 Nighthawk 79-10782, 410th FTS Edwards 2005 1:72 by Hobby Master

The prototype stealth fighter 79‑10782 was one of the early full‑scale development examples of the Lockheed F‑117A/Nighthawk stealth bomber, operated by the 410th FLTS at Edwards AFB for test and evaluation. In October 2005 it appeared in a striking “Stars & Stripes” commemorative scheme at the Edwards Open House, marking its final flying display before relocation for static use. What sets this airframe apart is that it was not only part of the secretive stealth‑fighter development programme but also represented the transition from operational test flying to historic status: by 2005 the F‑117 was nearing retirement, and this flight marked a symbolic closing of the chapter for an aircraft that revolutionised low‑observable combat aviation.
