1:18 and 1:12 Announcements
Top Marques takes on the Ferrari 412 P — four cars, 1:18
Announced August 26: Top Marques is doing the Ferrari 412 P in 1:18 as TOP155, in four race liveries. Only four cars were ever built to 412 P specification — two converted from earlier 330 P3 chassis, two built new — which makes this one of the rarest Ferrari competition cars to get proper scale treatment. The customer-racing counterpart to the works 330 P4, it ran a 3,967 cc V12 on six Weber carburettors for roughly 420 hp at under 900 kg, and took third overall at Daytona in 1967 as part of Ferrari’s famous one-two-three formation finish. The four versions:

Bugatti Destrier gets its first scale replicas
MR Collection has confirmed a 1:18 Destrier (ref BUG022), with sister brand Looksmart handling 1:43 (LS583). Both launch in Sapphire Celeste, the colour Bugatti used for the reveal. Sealed resin, as you’d expect from both houses. No pricing, edition size, or release window announced yet — but being first to a brand-new Bugatti is the story here. Announced August 20.
AUTOart adds two more 930 Turbo 3.0 finishes
Production versions of the Porsche 911 (930) Turbo 3.0 in Continental Orange and in Black over Tan surfaced August 26 (refs 78111 and 78112), following a Silver Metallic release the day before. The 930 has been one of AUTOart’s steadier sellers, and the colour expansion suggests it’s staying in the range a while.
Amalgam pairs Lauda and Hunt
Announced August 17: a matched 1:18 pair marking the 1976 Japanese Grand Prix at Fuji — Niki Lauda’s Ferrari 312 T2 alongside James Hunt’s McLaren M23D. The 312 T2 is listed at £1,050 on Amalgam’s own site. Edition sizes weren’t published.
TopSpeed’s 2026 IMSA GT3 wave — six cars, November delivery
Announced August 6, sealed resin throughout:
- TS0717 / TS0718 — Corvette Z06 GT3.R #3 and #4, Daytona 24 2026
- TS0716 — Mercedes-AMG GT3 #69, GetSpeed, Daytona 2026

The Temerario GT3 is the one to watch — it’s the first time Lamborghini’s new GT3 car has been done in 1:18, and Pfaff’s livery will not hurt demand.
ACME: 1966 Pontiac GTO “Street Fighter”, 402 pieces
First sample images landed August 21 — dark red over bronze wheels, ref A1801230, capped at 402 pieces with Q3 2026 delivery. ACME also showed a Chevrolet Blazer K/5 2WD “Street Custom” in blue and white (ref A1807718, under 400 pieces, opening tailgate), announced August 17.
OttOmobile goes large: 1:12 Skyline GT-R NISMO BNR34 CRS
Gun Metal, ref G103, 999 pieces, sealed resin — and shipping this month rather than sitting in the announcement queue. Announced August 22. OttOmobile’s August 1:18 batch also began moving: Alpine A220 Le Mans 1969 (OT1276), BMW M3 CS in Interlagos Blue (OT1260), Honda Civic Type R EP3 in Milano Red (OT1261), Hyundai Accent WRC Monte Carlo 2001 (OT1265) and a VW Phaeton 6.0 W12 (OT1266).
MR and Looksmart: Temerario SE, Revuelto SV, 12Cilindri Manuale
Three Lamborghini and Ferrari announcements in three days. The Temerario SE (August 19) comes in three schemes at 63 pieces each. The Revuelto SV (August 21) gets seven colourways, with Grigio Telesto and Bianco Siderale held to 25 pieces each. The Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale gets six, with Verde Zeltweg and Grigio Ingrid likewise at 25. If the short-run colours matter to you, these will go quickly.
KK-Scale: 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air Impala Coupe, October
Posted August 25: KK-Scale has the 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air Impala Coupe arriving in October in 1:18, with at least three colourways shown — black over a red interior, a coral shade with a white roof, and light blue with a white roof. The German maker builds in 1:18 and 1:12, and American iron of this era is thin on the ground at this scale, so a well-executed ’58 Impala should find an audience. Prices and edition sizes weren’t announced.
Tecnomodel: Ferrari 330 P, Sebring 1965
Posted August 8: Tecnomodel has the Ferrari 330 P from the 1965 Sebring 12 Hours in 1:18 resin, limited edition, shown in light blue with a white centre stripe carrying race number 27. Another entry in what is turning into a very good month for 1960s Ferrari sports prototypes at this scale — between this, the Top Marques 412 P and Looksmart’s Le Mans historics, collectors of the P-series have plenty to think about. Edition size and price weren’t published in the announcement.
1:43 and Smaller
Looksmart expands the Ferrari Le Mans historics — 12 new 1:43
Announced August 10. The run opens with the 330 P2 Test Day car from April 1965 (LSRC112LM) and the #19 Surtees/Scarfiotti and #20 Guichet/Parkes race cars (LSRC119LM, LSRC120LM), then works forward through 365 P2, 330 P3 and P4, and 512S variants to 1971. Three companion 1:18s are coming as LS18LM038–040.
LCD Models: a fully-opening 1:43 Pagani Imola
Worth noting in a scale that has gone almost entirely sealed resin: LCD’s 1:43 Pagani Imola is diecast with full opening features — 110 parts and 130 print positions — in Silver, Red and Chameleon Purple (LCD43016SI / RE / CH). Announced August 15, delivery Q1 2027.

Industry Watch
The tariff picture got worse, not better
Many importers expected relief this summer. They got the opposite. The 10% Section 122 baseline tariff hit its 150-day statutory limit and lapsed on July 24 — and was replaced the same day by a new tiered Section 301 structure, with China in the 12.5% tier. Stacked on the existing 7.5% List 4A rate that covers toy classifications, the effective total on Chinese-made models works out to roughly 20%, up from about 17.5%. (The exact percentages come from commercial tariff-classification services rather than a government notice, so treat them as a working figure.)
Two other changes compound it. A Federal Register interim final rule effective June 24 indefinitely suspended the $800 de minimis exemption for everything arriving by means other than international post — so a direct order from a Hong Kong or European retailer now generates a formal entry and a duty bill regardless of value. And on July 1 the EU scrapped its €150 duty exemption, replacing it with a flat €3 per item line until 2028, with an additional EU-wide handling fee still to be decided this autumn.
None of this has surfaced yet as an announced price increase. Expect it to show up quietly in Q4 2026 and Q1 2027 pre-order pricing instead.
Mattel’s numbers show the squeeze
In Q2 results published August 4, Mattel’s worldwide Vehicles billings came in at $463 million, up 14% — Hot Wheels continues to grow, and the company called out adult collectors specifically. But adjusted gross margin fell 270 basis points to 48.2%, which Mattel attributed to tariff costs, inflation, foreign exchange, and higher royalties. That last item is the underreported one: automaker licensing is getting more expensive across the board, and that pressure reaches every brand that puts a real marque on a box, not just the big ones.
Toy Fair New York stays at Javits through 2032
The Toy Association confirmed a five-year agreement in late August, ending years of relocation rumours. Toy Fair 2027 runs February 20–23, and dates are now published through 2032. Note that Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg — where Minichamps, Schuco, Norev, Solido and CMC do their reveals — runs February 2–6, 2027, so the two shows no longer overlap. That means a longer, two-stage reveal season next year.
