The headline this morning is a genuine piece of industry news: the GMP tooling is back with Acme, moved into Acme’s main factory and under test, with a full 2027 lineup planned. Beyond that it was a thin couple of days, though 1:18 collectors get production colours on AUTOart’s 930 Turbo, a pair of D3-generation Audi A8s from Sun Star, and painted production samples of the Top Marques Ferrari 412 P.

GMP 1970 Dodge Super Bee Street Fighter — “Mutant Bee”
The first car shipping with the GMP tooling is the long awaited 1970 Dodge Super Bee Street Fighter known as the Mutant Bee, under GMP reference G1803126. It is 1:18 diecast, full openings, MSRP $189.95, and it carries a Q3 2026 date — which sits against the company’s statement that the moulds are still being tested and validated, so treat that window as provisional.
Acme / GMP says the front spoiler, rear spoiler, wheels, engine parts, exhaust and several other components are all new tooling for this car, developed working with Ben Grasso of Plum Floored Creations, who built the actual full-size machine. Pre-orders are open.
AUTOart Porsche 911 (930) Turbo 3.0 — production exteriors
AUTOart has revealed the production versions of its 1:18 Porsche 911 (930) Turbo 3.0 in two finishes: Continental Orange (ref. 78112) and black with a tan interior (ref. 78111). Continental Orange is the more interesting of the two and a period-correct choice that nobody else is doing on this tooling. No price and no delivery window were announced. Construction was not restated in the announcement — DiecastSociety lists the model as diecast, but AUTOart has not itself confirmed metal versus composite for this casting, so treat that as unconfirmed if it matters to you.
Sun Star Audi A8 (D3) and Lincoln KB
Sun Star has announced 1:18 versions of the D3-generation Audi A8 in both 4.2 and W12 form, each in black and silver, described as metal with opening parts and produced in collaboration with Dico. Delivery is quoted as October/November 2026. Sun Star’s own catalogue lists the W12 cars as D18-01-01 (black) and D18-01-02 (silver) at $180 each, currently on backorder; the 4.2 cars appear as D18-02-01 and D18-02-02, though the announcement does not map those two references to specific colours.
The Lincoln KB in top-up form, in Ascot Maroon, has been announced for October 2026 — carried under reference 6221 in the announcement.
Top Marques Ferrari 412 P (1967) — production samples
Top Marques has posted painted production samples of the 1:18 Ferrari 412 P, reference TOP155, in multiple liveries. This is sealed resin, so no opening panels. Edition size, price and delivery window were all left unannounced.
Henson & Heaven Bentley Batur — first samples
Henson & Heaven has released the first grey-ware images of a 1:18 Bentley Batur, again sealed resin. Reference is still listed as TBD and there are no colours, edition size, price or delivery window yet — this is the earliest stage of the process, and shapes still change between grey-ware and paint.
Nothing was announced in 1:12 during this window.
1:43 and Smaller
No new 1:43 announcements in the last 48 hours. Minichamps’ most recent weekly release list is a week old now, and Spark’s current announcement batch dates back to the spring. All of the small-scale activity was in 1:64.
Pop Race, November 2026. Four models, one of which is described as all-new tooling, though Pop Race did not say which: LB Super Silhouette RX7 (FD3S), PANDEM GR 86 Moontech, PANDEM E30 Eneos, and the Honda Civic (EF9) #15 JTC 1991 InterTEC. References PR640537, PR640338, PR640542 and PR640553. No prices or edition sizes given.
LCD, Q4 2026. Two new castings. The Pagani Imola Roadster arrives in white (LCD64048-WH), light blue (LCD64048-LB) and chameleon purple (LCD64048-CH); the Honda Integra (DC5) Type R comes in white/carbon (LCD64038-CW), red/carbon (LCD64038-CR) and yellow/carbon (LCD64038-CY). No prices or edition sizes announced.
LMF Ferrari VGT. Metallic red and yellow, due early September 2026, with a removable front screen. Reference numbers are still TBD and no price has been quoted.
ATS Maserati MC, black. A straight colour addition to the existing casting, reference ATS882402 — sealed metal, supplied with a protective case. No delivery date stated.
Quick hits
- GT Spirit’s 1:18 BMW M2 CS (2025) has been photographed in detail. The notable change is genuine carbon-fibre exterior trim in place of the plain black finish used on earlier releases, plus flocking throughout the interior and fabric seatbelts. Sealed resin, as always with GT Spirit.
- Hobby Japan has a 1:24 Suzuki GSX750S Katana in Hideyoshi Hijiri livery coming, in diecast metal, for retail in early 2027 — an unusual scale for a motorcycle replica.

Acme and GMP are back together
Acme has announced that the GMP tooling is back in its hands and back in business. In the company’s own words: “We could not be more excited to announce that the GMP tooling is back in business! We have a full lineup of Mopars, Fox Body Mustangs, Camaros, etc… all planned.”
The tooling has been moved into Acme’s main factory — the plant Acme says has produced 90% of its 1:18 models for more than fifteen years. Acme is explicit that nothing is approved for production until every mould has been tested, necessary maintenance carried out, and test samples assembled to confirm that all parts are present and fit properly. That is the right order of operations for moulds that have been sitting, and it is also why the payoff is described as a 2027 lineup rather than product on shelves this year.
For anyone that wants to add to their shelf of GMP muscle cars, this is the most consequential news of the year. The categories Acme names — Mopars, Fox Body Mustangs, Camaros — are the core of what GMP was known for, and they are subjects that have been effectively out of production in 1:18. Beyond the Mutant Bee, no specific models have been named, and no reference numbers, edition sizes or prices have been published for the 2027 range. We will run those as they land.
