Sun Star has published its own release date for the 1956 Lincoln Premiere hard top, and it does not match either of the distributor dates that have been circulating — it is earlier than both. Alongside that: Minichamps takes on Porsche’s 911 Spirit 70 in three colours, KK-Scale dates its Back to the Future Hilux, and more.
Sun Star: the Lincoln lands in October
Sun Star has posted first production photographs of item 4658, the 1:18 1956 Lincoln Premiere hard top in Desert Buff over a Starmist White roof, barcode 657440046589, with a stated release date of October 2026.
That is the third date this car has carried in a week, and the first to come from the manufacturer. The European distribution listing had it in the fourth quarter of 2026; the US dealer announcement quoted the first quarter of 2027. October is earlier than both, and it is the one to work from. The same question hangs over SS-5602, the Subaru Impreza 555 announced alongside it, which has not yet had a manufacturer date of its own.
The photographs are worth a look on their own account. This is the car in the two-tone combination the announcement described rather than a render, with the bonnet, boot and doors open in the sequence, and it is the fifth 1:18 Lincoln to surface in nine days.

Minichamps: the 911 Spirit 70, in three colours
The Porsche 911 (992.2) Carrera GTS Cabriolet “911 Spirit 70” arrives in 1:18:

No prices or dates published. The full-size car is a heritage edition limited to 1,500 pieces, built around a deliberate 1970s reference — the Pasha pattern returning to the seat centres and door cards, and Olive Neo as the signature colour. A model of it lives or dies on whether that interior is reproduced properly, which is the thing to look for when samples appear rather than the paint.
KK-Scale: the Hilux gets a month
The 1985 Toyota Truck Xtra Cab 4×4 — the Hilux — is quoted for the middle of September in 1:18, in white and in the Back to the Future Part II specification. No reference numbers or prices published with the announcement.
MR Collection: a second 849 Testarossa
FE047D — the Ferrari 849 Testarossa in Rosso Fiammante with the Assetto Fiorano package, 1:18, available now. It follows FE047B in Bianco Italia, which we covered on 1 September. No price or edition size published for either.
Tecnomodel: fifty-five Museo Ferrari 288 GTOs
Announced on 2 September and missed here at the time: the 1:18 Ferrari 288 GTO 1985 car No.00 in Museo Ferrari specification, limited to 55 pieces. No price published. It belongs with the edition sizes we have been tracking this fortnight — above the five-piece MR Aventador, well below the 402 that ACME appears to use as a standard.
