Last week two manufacturers announced replicas of Ferrari’s Schumacher tribute SF-26 before the car turned a wheel at Monza. On Sunday one of those cars crashed out on lap two and the other finished sixth, and the race was won by the nineteen-year-old Italian starting nineteenth on the grid. Alongside that: the nineteen GT Spirit models announced on Thursday now have reference numbers and a European date that disagrees with the manufacturer’s, IXO America has booked nine for April 2027, and Minichamps has a 1:18 M5 estate. Reference numbers, prices and delivery windows are given where the manufacturers stated them, and flagged where they did not.
Models for the 2026 Italian Grand Prix
Kimi Antonelli won the Italian Grand Prix from nineteenth on the grid, passing his Mercedes team-mate George Russell on lap 50 of 53. He is the first Italian to win his home Grand Prix since Ludovico Scarfiotti in 1966 — sixty years, and Scarfiotti did it in a Ferrari. Charles Leclerc crashed out at the end of lap two after contact with Lewis Hamilton, bringing out a red flag. Hamilton finished sixth.
So the two cars that every manufacturer had committed to before first practice produced a DNF and a sixth place, and the car that won belongs to a driver almost nobody has tooled.
Almost nobody. On 3 September we listed Minichamps 640260212, the 1:64 Mercedes-AMG Petronas W17 in Antonelli’s Chinese Grand Prix winning specification, supplied with a pitboard, at €31.50 — and noted at the time that a current-season Grand Prix win in 1:64 at that price was Minichamps working a scale it has historically left to others. A home win at Monza from nineteenth, in the year the driver is leading the championship, is a considerably larger subject than a Chinese Grand Prix win, and Minichamps is the maker holding the tooling and the licence.
None of which makes the tribute cars bad models. BBR extended the programme this morning, adding the SF26 Gran Premio d’Italia in 1:12 to the eight 1:18 and 1:43 references announced on Friday — no reference number or price published yet. The same post supplies a detail missing from the original announcement: the livery is specifically an homage to the Ferrari F310, Schumacher’s 1996 car, rather than a general nod to his era.
A commemorative model of a car that crashed on lap two is a harder sell than one of a winner, but it is not a new problem, and liveries of this kind tend to be bought for what they commemorate rather than what they achieved. The question worth watching over the next fortnight is whether anyone commits to the Antonelli car in 1:18 — and there is a certain symmetry in the fact that Scarfiotti, whose record fell on Sunday, is also the driver whose 330 P3 LookSmart announced last week as LS18LM038, from Le Mans three months before he won at Monza.
GT Spirit: the nineteen models get part numbers
On Thursday GT Spirit announced its February and March 2027 batches without reference numbers. The European distribution listing has now published all of them, and puts the whole group in the fourth quarter of 2026 rather than early 2027. Two sources, five months apart; treat the manufacturer’s own months as the firmer of the two until GT Spirit says otherwise, but the discrepancy is large enough to be worth knowing about before ordering.

One reference in the listing was not in either batch announcement: GT597, a Porsche 911 (993) RWB Rauh-Welt in Vaillant No.9 racing livery, 2025. That makes twenty, and a fifth Rauh-Welt car in the group.
The Valhalla is GT1011. On 31 August we led on that car arriving in three scales at once; GT Spirit is the fourth manufacturer and now has a code against it.

The M5 Touring is the one to note. Fast estates are chronically under-served in 1:18 relative to how much collectors say they want them, and the G99 is the first M5 wagon sold in the United States. The Polizei 993 is the other outlier — a green-and-white 911 is a specific taste, but it is the sort of subject that sells out quietly and then appears at three times the money.

1:43 and smaller
IXO America goes trucking
Nine new releases from IXO’s US arm, all quoted for April 2027, without reference numbers or prices. Six of the nine are American trucks.
1:43: 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible in Honey Gold; 1976 Kenworth K100 Aerodyne in green.
1:64: 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 Nismo 400R in QM1 White; 1983 Nissan Skyline 2000 Turbo RS (R30) “Iron Mask” in red and black; two 2002 Freightliner Argosy, one red and black and one grey and blue with a modern trailer; a 1981 Peterbilt 359 in a Kelsey’s Trucking tribute livery, orange; a 1990 Kenworth W900 with reefer van in neon green and black; and a 1978 Ford LTL-9000 in blue and silver.
The 400R is the pick. Nismo built forty-four of them, it is the rarest of the R33 derivatives, and it has never been common in 1:64. The R30 “Iron Mask” is the other one worth reserving, though for the opposite reason — it is a Japanese touring-car icon that has been done before and always sells anyway.
