Ferrari’s first electric car in 1:18 by MR Collection, with pre-orders open on the Luce in 1:18, in seven colours, with first samples shown. Top Marques has listed twenty new 1:18 references for the first quarter of 2027 and the subjects are unusually good. BBR has the 296 GT Modificata four days after Ferrari revealed the car, Tecnomodel is doing the 1999 Ferrari F399 in four versions, and Minichamps has Kimi Antonelli’s debut. Reference numbers, prices and dates are given where the manufacturers published them, and flagged where they did not.
MR Collection: the electric Ferrari, in seven colours

The Luce is the car Maranello spent a decade insisting it would not build, revealed in May and priced beyond most of what Ferrari sells. Putting it on a shelf raises a question the hobby has not really had to answer yet. A scale model has never been able to convey an engine note, so in one sense an electric Ferrari loses nothing in miniature — the thing you hold is shape, stance, paint and panel gaps either way. Whether collectors who bought into the marque for twelve cylinders want one is a different matter, and the comment threads will tell us.
Giallo Luce being on the list is the detail worth noting. A colour named for the car suggests Ferrari, not the model maker, decided what this thing is supposed to look like.
Top Marques: twenty new 1:18s, and four of them are filthy

The TS010 is the deep cut of the set. Toyota’s 3.5-litre V10 Group C car ran for two seasons against the Peugeot 905 and never won Le Mans, and it has been almost entirely ignored in 1:18. The Mine car is the curiosity — Eddie Irvine, Tom Kristensen and Jacques Villeneuve sharing one entry, years before any of them was famous.

The dirty versions are the interesting commercial decision. Four of the twenty are the same car finished as it looked at the end — mud on the Safari Delta, brake dust and rubber pickup on the Spa Lancia, Acropolis dust on the Focus. Manufacturers have done weathered finishes before, but usually as a one-off special rather than as a parallel reference offered alongside the clean car from day one. Doing it four times in one announcement says Top Marques has found the demand.
BBR: the 296 GT Modificata, after the reveal

Both come with a plexiglass case. Ferrari revealed the car on 13 September; the model was announced on the 17th.
The 296 GT Modificata is a track-only two-seater built for the Club Competizioni GT programme — 730 horsepower from the 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 with the restrictors off, a slotted front splitter, an enlarged hood outlet to keep radiator heat away from the intercoolers, and a rear wing lifted from the 499P. Buyers get twelve track events at circuits including Spa and Fuji as part of the deal, which is the point of the car: it is not really sold, it is enrolled in.
Four days from reveal to announcement is fast even by BBR’s standards with Ferrari, and it says the model was in development before the public knew the car existed.

1999 is the season Ferrari won the constructors’ championship and lost the drivers’ by two points — Schumacher broke his leg at Silverstone, Irvine led the team for six races and came up short at Suzuka. Modelling both drivers from the same 1999 French Grand Prix, a wet race that neither of them won, is a nice piece of set-building.
Minichamps: Antonelli’s first points
117250112 — the Mercedes-AMG F1 W16 E Performance, Kimi Antonelli, Australian Grand Prix 2025, the race in which he scored on his Formula One debut.
We noted a fortnight ago that after Antonelli won at Monza only one manufacturer had him in the catalogue at all. This is Minichamps going back to the start of the story rather than chasing the win, and the debut car is the better subject: a rookie scoring in his first race in a works Mercedes is a thing that will be referred to for years.
Minichamps: the 993, and an Aventurine Red M3 Touring

Two 1:10 AGV helmets came in the same bulletin — 315160096 for Valentino Rossi at Misano in 2016 and 315170046 for his 2017 season, both €15.95.
The 993 in plain silver, as a coupé, in diecast rather than resin, is the version of that car most people actually want and the one that keeps selling out. The M3 Touring at more than two hundred euros is the outlier here, and Aventurine Red over a Tartufo interior is a specification real buyers order rather than a press-car colour.

Both are 1:18 Platinum Collection cars on pre-order, the hardtop announced this morning, and both are quoted at $148.50 on Sun Star’s own store. 1956 is the year Mercury got serious about being something other than a dressed-up Ford — the hooded headlights, the reverse-angle roofline on the hardtop, and the wide chrome sweep down the flank that the two-tone paint is built around. Niagara Blue over Classic White is a factory combination and the one that makes the body side read properly; Delta Blue on the convertible is the quieter of the two and the better car with the roof down. Sun Star’s Platinum cars open everywhere, which on a fifties Mercury means a decorated engine bay and a dashboard worth looking at.

Sun Star: a Metropolitan Police Outlander
29408 — the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2019 in Metropolitan Police livery, limited to 399 pieces, released October 2026. It is a commissioned edition rather than a general catalogue item.
British police cars are a collecting category of their own, and a current-generation hybrid response vehicle in full Battenburg is a far more useful thing to have than another Jaguar. Three hundred and ninety-nine is not many.
IXO: the Falken Porsches from the Nürburgring

Falken’s green and blue is one of the few liveries in endurance racing that people can identify at a glance, and running the two-car set as its own reference is sensible — nobody who wants one wants only one.
Tecnomodel also has the Ferrari 512BB available now in 1:43, shown as a full shelf of colours. No reference numbers were published with the announcement.

IXO America has four coming: the 1999 Viper Hennessey Venom 650R in yellow and in blue, and the 2003 Porsche Cayenne Mk1 in TECHART specification in black and white. No reference numbers or prices yet.
A tuned first-generation Cayenne is an odd and welcome choice. The Mk1 is the Porsche nobody was supposed to like and the one that paid for everything that followed, and TECHART’s version of it is a very specific mid-2000s artefact.

The two motor graders are the interesting pair — the same machine in two configurations, one of them all-wheel drive, packaged in tins rather than window boxes. Diecast Masters treating a grader as a High-Line collectible rather than a toy is a fair reflection of who actually buys these.

- BBR has announced a second Sculpture Concept, a week after the first. This one is the Ferrari SF26 in 1:43 marking Charles Leclerc’s win at Silverstone on 5 July, Ferrari’s 250th victory in Formula One. Images are marked prototype; no edition size has been published for this one, where the Hamilton Barcelona edition was 144.
