Tecnomodel is moving into 1:12 with the Ferrari F40 LM, six versions and twenty-seven pieces of each. Minichamps has Lando Norris’s championship-clinching car with the figure and the pitboards. Ottomobile has announced seven for March, IXO has ten in 1:43, and BBR has both Ferraris from Silverstone. Reference numbers, prices and dates are given where the manufacturers published them, and flagged where they did not.
Tecnomodel: 1:12, and the F40 LM
Six references, all the 1996 Ferrari F40 LM, all 1:12, each one limited to twenty-seven pieces:

At 1:12 an F40 LM is about forty centimetres of hand-built resin, and Tecnomodel is not trying to reach a market so much as fill a list. The F40 LM is the right car to do it with: the Michelotto-built competition version, wider, lower, stripped of the road car’s compliance and pushed past 700 horsepower, and a shape that gains more from the extra size than almost anything else Ferrari made. The Martini car is the one people will want.
Minichamps: Norris, world champion

The Abu Dhabi car is the one that matters. Minichamps has already done Norris’s Hungarian win; this is the race that settled the title, and it comes with the figure and the pitboards, which is how Minichamps signals that a reference is meant to be the centrepiece rather than another entry in a season set. Anyone building a 2025 McLaren shelf has been waiting for it.
The WRT BMW is worth a look too. Rossi winning Indianapolis outright in a GT3 car, sharing with van der Linde and Weerts, is the strongest result of his sports car career so far.

The Renault 14 is the one to stop at. It is a car whose own advertising compared it to a pear, it sold badly, it rusted, and almost none survive — and it is now a 1:18 resin model. The Fiesta XR2 is the same instinct pointed at Britain. Between them they are a reminder that Ottomobile’s real business is not supercars but the ordinary cars that everybody’s family had and nobody kept.

All limited editions at $335.00 MSRP, released May 2027. The same four cars are also listed as driver versions, with a figure at the wheel, under TMD18-485A to D at $345.00. A driver-version set of the 1995 Tyrrell-Yamaha arrives at the same time and the same price, under TMD18-494A to D.
1997 was Prost Grand Prix’s first season, Alain Prost having bought Ligier and put his own name on the gate. Panis was quick enough to be third in the championship before he broke both legs at Montreal; Trulli, a rookie standing in for him, led the Austrian Grand Prix for most of the afternoon before the engine failed. It is a season nobody models, and four cars from it is more than the subject has had in thirty years.
MR Collection: the Bugatti Mistral

No consumer prices published. The Mistral is the last car Bugatti built around the quad-turbo W16 — 99 of them, roadster only, the engine’s send-off after two decades. Ninety-nine models of a car built in ninety-nine examples is the neatest edition size anyone has picked this month.
ACME: the Bandit’s ramp truck
A1801714 — the 1967 Chevrolet C-30 ramp truck as Bandit 1. Starlight Black with gold trim, the Firebird logo on the hood and gold wheels, painted to match the Trans Am. MSRP $144.95, ETA the first quarter of 2027, built to order rather than to a fixed edition size.
2027 is the fiftieth anniversary of Smokey and the Bandit. Everybody who collects the film has the Firebird; the ramp truck is what it arrived on, and building to order means ACME expects demand to set the run rather than the other way round.

Blomqvist’s Sweden win in 1982 was the Quattro’s first proper snow result and the moment the four-wheel-drive argument stopped being an argument. Doing it as a night car, with the lamp pod lit, is the right call. The Saab 99 EMS is the quiet one on the list and probably the better model — an ordinary Swedish coupé that nobody has tooled in years.

Announced this morning, all 1:43. Silverstone on 5 July was Ferrari’s 250th win in Formula One, Leclerc’s ninth and his first at the circuit, and the first time since Austin in October 2024 that Ferrari had two cars in the top three. BBR is also marking the same race with the 1:43 Sculpture Concept announced last week.
Minichamps has one more in the scale: 410023204, the BMW M3 CS of 2023 in green, diecast, €59.95 including VAT.

Bburago is doing the same Röhrl S1 in 1:43 as well, under 18-38326. Sanremo 1985 was the last world championship win for a Group B Audi and the one Röhrl drove on the limit of what the car could be made to do; having it at pocket-money prices in two scales is not a bad thing.

Pre-orders are open. Mini GT has been working steadily through licensed film cars — the Goldfinger Mustang landed last week — and the Fast and Furious licence is the one with the deepest bench. The silver and blue R34 is the car that made a generation of collectors, and Toretto’s Charger from the Rio sequence is the other half of the argument.
Bburago has two-car sets in the scale as well, each with a display case: 18-58019-N pairs Norris’s championship-winning MCL39 with his British Grand Prix car, and 18-58019-P does the same for Oscar Piastri.
Terry Harryman, 1938–2026
Sun Star marked the death of Terry Harryman this week with a photograph of its Rothmans Opel Ascona 400. Harryman was Ari Vatanen’s co-driver through the early eighties, read the notes that made Vatanen world champion in 1981, and won six world championship rallies from the left-hand seat. He was 87.
It is worth saying that a model company reached for one of its own products to mark it, and that nobody thought that strange. The Rothmans cars are on a lot of shelves because of what those two did in them.
