AIRFIX 1930 Bentley.

Here is a plastic kit that was made years ago and that I have built twice. I found it again recently in a Toronto hobby shop, but it may be old stock.

The kit fits and builds well and is 1/12th scale.

David; are you going to build this model or keep the kit as is due to its rarity?

Hi Jack:

I already have a built model, unfortunately with cracking decals at this point, so I will keep the kit unbuilt.

What a large and impressive Bentley model here ! My Bentley is a considerablely smaller 1929 edition from Lesney's Models of Yesteryear line that I have had since I was a kid.

I have that one also in two versions. The earliest 1929 one was purchased by me about 1958. The somewhat later also 1929 is more accurate and usually has red plastic seats and tonneau. I really like both.

This is my Lesney MoY 1929 Bentley, which I think I got in the early 1960's. I remember wishing I could add the headlights to it to make it a bit more "everyday roadworthy" !

These small-scale Bentleys are certainly a contrast to your impressive large scale one.

Yes that Is the first one, that I also got early. It is a real keeper but not anywhere as fully detailed as the 1/12 scale. That Lesney model started many a collector on his/her way. Thanks for posting this one Michael.
