That's too bad..... I hope all goes well; you should be fine. It's a nice 1/12 Sunstar model; I have one in gold/tan top. The top works great but looks like crap when its closed. I've had mine on display for 5 years with the top up - and it still has wrinkles. 🙄 🙄 🙄
@chris I was hopeful, but when I saw the size of the Amazon box in relations to it. Well I was nervous, then opening secured my worries. Two pieces of crushed foam and all I could hear was rattling. My 1/43 models arrived more securely packed then this sadly. Maybe I need to stay away from larger models lol.
@modeldadeeee Na.... it's just a **** seller who will pay for his mistake one way OR another. I've had huge models shipped from Europe WITHOUT issues of any kind. The KEY is knowing how to pack. This seller is obviously not very bright; he literally just tossed your model in a box. 😬 😬 😬
You will, MORE THAN LIKELY, have the last laugh. Remember, eBay works for YOU - the buyer.
@chris I hope as much but if not my accountant goes out of his way to ensure I don't lose money during business deals. He swims with the sharks so that he stays sharp lol..
The seller made right and refunded all of my money. Encouraged me to keep the model, but it is of no use to me sadly.
@100ford2003 Wow-wee.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Enjoy your day! 🍾 🥂 Put on some weight to smooooooth out those wrinkles! ☕ 🍵 🍒 🍕 🍟 🍓 🍺 🍻
@modeldadeeee Awesome - that's pretty much what I figured would happen.
I know you like to simply throw away wrecked models - "parts" mean nothing to you; however, I can assure you that "parts" are valuable to many others. If you list your wrecked 1/12 Sunstar VW convertible on eBay it will sell. - just say'n
At any rate, congrats! 👍 👍
Thank-you all for the Birthday wishes 😎
Steve
@chris honestly someone can have it as it for total cost to ship it.
@modeldadeeee Post in in the 'Sell Buy' Section and someone will want it. Spare parts are always welcome. If I lived closer to you I'd take it, but the shipping might eat my lunch.
