The C6 Corvette finally offered the horsepower and performance that was in the dumpster by 1973. In it's debut in 2005, the base engine alone, the 6.0 liter LS2 produced 400 HP which was upgraded 2 years later to the 6.3 L LS3 with up to 436 HP. Top of the line models, like the '09 - '13 ZO1 featured a 638 HP supercharged 6.2 LS9. Mattel got itself embedded with the GM designers and engineers and went all out to produce and release a 1/12 model of both the coupe and roadster and released it before the car's actual debut. The result was a very detailed, high parts count model that looks like it's ready to hit the highway. This roadster, in Le Mans Blue, offers a removable top with a retracted replica stashed under the hatch.
@modeldadeeee On the secondary market. This model was released in 2005... 21 years ago.
@modeldadeeee Not all that long ago, these could be had for $60 or less. Today, however, expect to pay NORTH of $160 - most go for close to $200 Briefly, I considered buying a 1:1 Vette and wanted one of these gorgeous Hot Wheels models to go with it. Ultimately, I passed on both.
Rich, those are excellent pics of this VERY nicely done C-7. One of Hot Wheel's best for sure.
Remember when the GM inadvertently published a 1992 Stock Report (or something like that ) but featured a (all new ) 1993 Camaro on the cover? - BEFORE the official debut! 😬 😬 😬
Another example of "the cart before the horse."
