1/12 scale best models............
This is another subjective tread but we had so many nice models from the Mints and others among the years, I believe it should be interesting to read the opinions of the members who collect them.
There is even larger scales but lets keep the subject on 1/12 for now.
As far as I am concerned, I got rid of a few over the years because of space concern to display these models properly and also because of a lack of interest in the images: FM red corvette, DM red 57 Chevy, DM black 57 Corvette and DM 1964 Mustang.
I made the decision to keep the classics and I still now have only three of these big scale models in custom displays:
DM 1930 Cadillac (no tire issue)
FM 1907 Rolls Royce silver Ghost
Bauer 1934 Mercedes Benz 500K
They are all amazing in their own way but my favorite is still the DM 1930 Cadillac.

It's resin, sealed model, but the paintwork is outstanding as well as the exterior details, such as carbon fiber patterns on the front air dam and rear splitter and mesh screening over the engine bay, The interior shows gauge faces and neon trims for the dash and seat seams:

Agree, although I slightly prefer the black #99 version..
GMP did a superb job on these cars. I bought the green street 289 direct at GMP during a vacation in Georgia many years ago. Tom Long and his crew were great hosts, real model guys, and we ended up spending over a hour just talking little cars.

I know what you mean about Tom.........
I was lucky enough to meet him at the Rolex Historic Races at Laguna Seca a few years back - a great car guy.
Interestingly enough I'm sitting here typing this while wearing one of my "Tom's Garage" T- Shirts. Good people and excellent models.
