As you might imagine, there's already a plethora of Cybertruckย  models & toys, but here's the first 1/18 replica I've seen. It looks good but the frunk does NOT open. These are available now for about $300.

To me it's a waste of $300....but hey, each to his own!

I find the styling absolutely hideous...but the engineering is quite amazing.ย  When not shackled to the existing parameters, its really cool to see what the engineers can come up with.ย  Just wish the design side had had the same success.ย  As far as the model, definitely not at that price point (or any price point, really ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

A great video from Hagerty & Jason Cammisa on the Cybertruck, if you're interested.ย

It's a butt-ugly truck, which means I want one!ย  However, $300 is a bit steep.ย  I might have to bite the bullet and get one anyway.ย ย

BTW, you can get one from Tesla for $225.

@marty-johnson Awesome!

Thanks for the link Marty.ย  I hadn't yet checked Tesla directly but have purchased from them in the past. What's nice is that if something is sold out, they will notify you when they restock. That's how I purchased my Tesla sedan.ย

I'm not interested in this Cybertruckย  replica ONLY because the frunkย  doesn't open. Perhaps another manufacture (Autoart, Kyosho, Dealer Edition ) will make one. ๐Ÿค” ๐Ÿคจย

I like how the description says that every curve is replicated. I really don't see any curves on that model. It just looks like Origami to me. It's all angles, folds and flat surfaces. ๐Ÿ˜

@100ford2003ย Perhaps the facets are radar deflecting.

@100ford2003 By all accounts, he's a great visionary, engineer & designer with tremendous drive. But sadly, all that money has turned him into a rather unpleasant, crude & mean-spirited person. He freely admits, "Who cares?ย  I'll say & do what I want, when I want."

every curve is replicated.

Let's review: The windshield has a slight curve, the frunk,ย  the steering wheel, the tires, small areas of the seats, and some of the wiring.ย

That's about it. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ ย

I think he's a genius basically and I don't fault him for anything so I admire him. He has the biggest 'cojones' of any automobile manufacturer I've ever seen or heard of lately.. And when you have that much money and hard work and development behind you what the heck go for it. At least there's no 'coke' involved like with DeLorean.

Well, dayum... I'm an idiot for not noticing those 'fine, fine' curves....๐Ÿ˜‚
