This was a phenominally successful race car with its 2.0 liter straight 8 winning over 1000 races in its time. Setting 47 records and winning 351 races, it won the Grand Prix World Championship in 1926.
This is a museum quality replica by CMC. I love all the scale patina'd machine turned metal throughout. It's a multi-media extravaganza.
Incredible model ! I have the "Models of Yesteryear" version in about 1/43 or so. Not quite as detailed, but the same color !
@mikedetorrice Franklin Mint did a pretty ambitious replica in 1/24 also.
This is the most detailed CMC model that I have seen so far. I have several but not this.
Fantastic model, so well done. This and the Ford 999 are two of the oldest cars I have models of and I love the simplicity and intricacy at the same time

I have very few race car models in my collection but I do have this one and the FM in 1/24 scale. The details on this CMC model are outstanding.
@ralf Interesting. That's an American entry I assume. I thought back in that day white was the German racing color. I like the livery though.
@rich-sufficool Rich, The US #34 car is also part of CMC's T35 "Nation Color Project" as a German white one with #9.
I also have the Argentinia and the red/white Monaco cars, both very sharp imho...
