Despite being older tooling, as you noted Rich, the overly simplified block & engine bay still kind of surprise me a bit. Nice trunk, but did these actually have a full-size spares? Where those "space-saver-spares" optional? 🤔 🤨Â

@chris Good question Chris. I've never seen a Camaro or Firebird that didn't have a space saver spare/

@chris Well, the engine is plumbed and wires which is all you could ask for back then. I thought the full sized spare was optional back in those days. I remember my father saying "I'm not driving around on that damned thing and screw up the car".

I just looked it up and if the '68 Camaro came with 14" wheels, you got a full sized tire. a mini was optional and recommended for a convertible.
