A question regarding the Lane 1965 Chevelle Z16
Malibu model. All 5 of the tires came with a yellow shade of "whitewall" right from the day I received it about 5 years ago.
I just put it back on display and thought I'd ask about the "yellow whitewall" on those models. The color is completely even on all 5 tires. Aren't those whitewalls supposed to be "white" ?? Thanks.
It's supposed to be a GOLDLINE.
Thanks, Ned........
I forgot all about "goldlines" until you said that.
Only 1965 Chevelle Z-16s had GOLD line tires ...
...I have 5 "Lane" Malibu SS cars (non Z-16) and they ALL have bright whitewall tires.
The '65 GMP Corvettes also had "Goldline" tires.
Yes Jim, you are correct. I was only referring to Chevelles.
I was simply pointing out that to the best of my knowledge, the Lane Chevelle and the GMP Vettes . .
were the only 1/18's with Goldlines.
Also the Ertl 1967 Tri-Power Corvette had gold lines >>> PIC
photo no longer available
They look reddish but are gold 😉
Ronald...did you Rain-X the windshield..? lol
Actually I didn't - ALSO - I copied this picture from ebay !!!
