Chuck Ostrich of Nevada, Iowa was a builder of racing engines and MOPAR drag cars driven by son, Gary. One of his cars was the first to break the 10 second barrier. Here's the '68 Hemi-Cuda car at the '69 Winter Nationals:

H-61 did a great job on this model replicating the ostrich skin pattern as well as incorporating foil into the livery rather than silver paint.

I love the colors, and the paint on the model is drop-dead gorgeous!

And here's an interesting bit of trivia:  The Tesla Plaid, straight from the factory, would beat this full-out, purpose-built race car in the 1/4 mile.  Cars have come a long way in the past 1/2 century.

@marty-johnson 4 cylinder Japanese tuners can easily take on a Hemi. The amount of horsepower you can squeeze out of a liter of displacemt these days is mind-blowing.

....I've said it before, of all the HW 61 'Cudas, this is the best looking.  It's an incredible finish.  😎 😎 😎

If I was still collecting 1/18,  I would have to get this one.

@rich-sufficool - Yep, and it must also be said, that most of the Japanese 4-cylinder engines are Hemis as well.
