... I'm sure I have more of them than any other race car genre.  I do have more funny cars, but the wheelbases are standard and not altered.  Here is all the AWBs I have in my collection!

"Speaking of Altered Wheelbase cars?"     No sir, you have the last word  in Altered Wheelbase cars!    That collection MORE than cool.   😎 😎

I have only a few - I'd like to get at least one more; I need a 2-dr AWB sedan.   Funny, but I never thought of that HW61 Beswick as an AWB car, but you're right - it is!

PS

That Funny Car  represents the evolution of these initial AWB jobs, correct?

@chris - You are correct!  The actual first funny car was Dick Landy's 1964 Polara.  However, in 1965, after Chrysler introduced the Plymouth and Dodge Amblewagon built AWB cars, the Mercury racing chief, Fran Hernandez, said about their wild appearance, they looked "funny."  The rest is history.

@marty-johnson A project YOU inspired many years ago - my 1/18 1951 Ford Victory 2-dr hardtop AWB gasser as it might have looked in 1966.  😎 😎
