[Closed] any news about upcoming Minichamps Dreamcars ?

Oh, yes!!!!! The minichamps Managers seem to be mad. The prices for these resin-models will be at ?300 or higher. I have wanted to have the Futura - but not for a price higher than the CMC-models with 1.500 parts. The resin models have no opening doors and trunks etc. There is not Motor in it - but the Price will be the highest. For a plastic-model.
It is not mine to feed shareholders.

Joop, I posed the same question recently, but still gained no idea of timing. I have pre-ordered the LeSabre, Centurion, and Wildcat II through Legacy Motors, but know nothing further at this point.

I cancelled all five I had on order. When I thought about the price for 5 models ( with no features) and having waited over a year, I just thought it was time to cleanse my die-cast pallet so to speak. Maybe I'll buy some of them yet, who knows. For right now though, I went back to 1:24 and a Lincoln from Automodello. Not much better luck there (receiving it) but, at least I'm not on the hook for as much either.

The thing with the Futura is that it'll probably be limited to 1000 pieces....

that's about all you get before the molds go to hell. It's going to sell out like hotcakes being it's the first precision model larger than 1/43. (I'm dimissing the old 1/25 Revell plastic kit.). If nothing else, every Batmobile fan with the means are going to want this model to display next to the Mattel model. I wouldn't want to change my mind later and try to get it on the secondary market.

About 30-45 days ago we were told when we called and asked about the Futura (last word was January, so I called to see if that was for sure) we were told announcements (updates?) would be made at the Germany Toy Show. I think that's in February.

January 29, 2014 is when it starts.
