Series one Jaguar XKE fited head coupe

I think over all the stance of the car model truly represents the Iconic XKE series one. I purchased a book from the people who know this car best with lots of detailed photographs and factory changes all the way to the V12 last of the XkE marque. I will have to share it once I fine it again in my library.

The hinges don't bother me at all.............

because I can see that if these hinges were made 'to scale' they would quite likely not last more than a few openings before they got bent, warped or ripped off the car. I'd rather have the hatch fit tightly and evenly consistently than risk losing that to a fragile hinge....just my opinion.
