In a last ditch attempt to stave off bankruptcy, BMW launched its New Class sedan the 1500 Compact Executive Sedan in 1962. With better engine and suspension options, this series morphed into a sports sedan and later a sports coupe. This 1800TI (Turismo Internationale) was introduced in 1963 and offered an 1.8 L 4 cylinder tuned by Alpina featuring twin Solex carburetors and a higher compression ratio bumping horsepower to 110. A front anti-sway bar was also added for touring car handling. Later a racing variant, the 1800TI/SA (special version) 130HP w/ 5 speed built in the homologation number of 200 and was only sold to race teams and privateers. The series went on to the 2000 and the notable 2002 coupe before ending in 1972.

Nice one ! That looks like a fine (and quite detailed) model from AUTOart. A very attractive color for this replica too.
What a cool model; I guess I missed this one (sadly ) years ago - I really don't remember it. Ah, the good old days when high-end Autoarts were $64.99 🙄 😔

Chris, I couldn't agree more with you. I wish I had one of those too ! Some of the BMWs from the late 50s and early '60s are some of the best ever. I still think that the 507 is one of the most beautiful automobiles ever designed and built.
