Ha! we are in the same boat........ why Autoart?

Well ... let's just say ....

Well ... I had this grand idea

I should have known better

So let's just pretend that I bought 3 diecast cars off D4C auction ... same seller

I had this grand idea that I could buy the black Auto Art Bugatti at bargain price - turn around buy the Auto Art Blue Bugatti with wire wheels ...

Remove the Auto Art chrome wheels off the Auto Art blue Bugatti

Install the Auto Art wire wheels on the Auto Art Black Bugatti

But now .....

That entire idea is thrown out the window like bath water

Opening the AA box - removing the Black Bugatti and have the front wheel dangle in front of me .....

The entire experience has turned me off

That is not my idea of how I want to spend a Saturday afternoon

This broken Auto Art Black Bugatti has totally ruined it for me

Same experience...

I was eagerly waiting for the courier, that day..... I remember, about 6 months back.. Then finally courier man came, I rushed to the door signed and received the parcel and instructed my wife and daughter, do not touch, just sit aside and see the magic...:-$

and then when I opened the box, my heart beat stopped.... :O

the left front wheel was dangling... I was despaired, then gathered my courage and with the help of a magnifying glass carefully inserted the pivot pin inside the body and then it was ok.

No prolems with the Ralph Lipchitz model.

I'm just saying.

Although I will say, it was probably kismet that he changed his last name.

Can you imagine all the women in your life lining up to view the new Ralph Lipchitz line for 2014?

I wish I had the pivot pin

I've looked in the foam packing pod - nothing

I've looking in the AA box - nothing

I've looked hard - still nothing

I wish I had the pivot pin

It crushs my spirit to be wearing these shoes

Nothing like buying a diecast car, waiting for it's arrival.

and when the die cast car does arrive - you carefully open the packaging

.... and as you lift the die cast out of the foam packing pod ... there's a wheel dangling in the air

Just plain horrible

Your die cast looks great

Make Pivot Pin of your own..

try these:

1) Cycle or bike spoke (Check for appropriate thickness)
2) Empty Ball pen refill (Metal)
3) Nail (Check thickness)

once you find any of the above in appropriate thickness, cut it to the exact size and then, insert it and apply instant adhesive on the top so that it should not come out.

I was thinking about ...

getting a very fine finishing nail ... making it work

Then put the diecast up for sale - blow out price

Just a really really bad day ....

Up all night ... step daughter admitted to hospital

Mail person arrives with packages and letters

My wife hands me an envelope .... IRS !!

I open it - put aside

I go to the package with very very very high expectations ... I paid good money

I open the package ... remove the AUTO ART BOX

Die cast car is broken / busted up right out of the box

With regards to the broken Bugatti, I've known that disappointment. And the IRS?!? Man that is a rough day.
