The 'father' figure for the soon-to-be Bugatti dio has arrived and he is not my usual type.  I found this figure from American Diorama and he looked surprisingly good, for being 80% less in cost than my usual figures, so I took a shot and ordered him.  He is here and I am pleased.  He's just butch enough to turn a wrench and still fatherly enough to carry off the role with his three daughters.  Did I say three daughters?   In the slightly altered line by Jack Nicholson, 'Heeeeere's Daddy!'

@modeldadeeee   I haven't found many I liked by American Diorama, but for 20,80Euros including shipping/etc. it was worth the gamble.  Usually, I spend north of 80Euros for my 1/18 figures from China.

This guy looks great and would fit very well in a diorama or photograph. Many years ago I took a number of pictures of various diecast diorama figures, including some excellent American Diorama people. I generously got to retain the figures after the photoshoot. They are wonderful additions alongside the cars !

...just find a way to "de-shine"  his clothes and he'll fit right in.    Dust on or rub in a little powder or spray him with dullcote.    That's the #1 problem with sooooooooo  many scale figures; their clothes are too shiny!  😠 😠 😡

Is he Bug certified? Check now or he might use the wrong viscosity oil in the car.

@perrone1  His daughter may think he should be certified, as he is bugging the heck out of her, looking over her shoulder.

@gdh Baby powder to prevent paint rash.  No charge for that info.

@jack-dodds   That is one item we do not have in this household.  My Dyson vacuum cleaner has a bit of dust in the holding bucket, so maybe I should try that.

@rich-sufficool   Very nice, and you've been peeking at my notes.  This gentleman will be appearing in July, if all goes well:

@chris   Well, I just happen to have some gluten-free flower about twelve feet away.  I'll give him a tumble in a bag of it and keep you posted.
