Going with the forward look Fury today, although the Golden Hawk is nothing to sneeze at!

I am happy to have diecast replicas of each of these great-looking Fifties automobiles. Driving a real one then or now is a visual treat and they are certainly stars of any car show they are displayed at.

Oh you're rockin' it today John!!! I like both cars; the Plymouth is one of the very, very few '58's that I care for. But if I wanted to take a spin in either, which would I choose? Going with the Golden Hawk today - could be different tomorrow.

Plymouth is my choice today.  We had a blue Belvedere from 58 to 63.  My first car.  I sat on my dads lap and steered that car so many times. I wish the grill on the Golden Hawk was shaped differently.  Who knew it would become iconic.

I have loved the styling of the Golden Hawk since I first laid eyes on it as a kid.  This '57-'58 era of Plymouth doesn't do much for me.

Christine's sister for me today. Love the 57-59 Plymouths. Beautiful automobiles. 💯🤑

'58 styling just plain sucked. The only '58 I actually liked the styling of is the T-bird, there are others I would not mind owning but not paying for. Tie today, I don't care for either equally but, do have interest in both so I can't vote no interest.

@brush  Buuce;  IMHO 1958 was perhaps a lesser year for American car design compared to the shoulder years but for me the only cars that come to mind as major disappointments were the Buick and Oldsmobile.  I have always marveled at the yearly changes most American marques did; my gosh you never knew what the heck was coming to showrooms every September.  The 50s and 60s was a period I loved so much; especially the muscle/pony car '64 to '72 era!

You mention the T-Bird.  My fave Squarebird was the '59....just the grille change made a huge difference for me as the '58 grille looked unfinished by comparison.  Again just one person's opinion.

@jack-dodds  I do like the '59 grill quite a bit better than the '58, but the design of both is the same.

'58 ugly cars to me:

Buick

Oldsmobile

Mercury

Edsel

Plymouth

'59 add:

Chevrolet

Cadillac

Just my opinion.

Way back when, my buddy's dad purchased a white '58 T-bird. He hated it. I didn't recall what his bitch was with the T-bird. He traded it in on a red and black '58 Pontiac Chieftain 2-dr hardtop and never looked back.

Studebaker for me. Although Studebaker was on it's last legs, their build quality was still far superior to the Plymouth. Also I have driven both and the Studebaker drives like a sports car while the Plymouth not so much.

@jack-dodds Agreed Jack. The tubular grill on the 59 just looked better while the car itself was basically the same.
