For collectors who display models, do you ever show the models opened to show details?

Occasionally I do. For example I show a 57 Ford retractable in it's half open position or a Chrysler 300 convertible with it's swivel bucket seats with the door open to show this detail.

The DM Skyliner for sure. I also display some CMCs with open hoods. It's a shame to cover up all that detail. I also have two Exotos with their rolling chassis, as well as some 'stand alone' engines along with the models.

Absolutely , some models just beg to be opened up to show detail.

It would be really rare for me to show a model opened up at all, but I do appreciate the excellent details that a diecast might have. They can be great finger fun when just examining a replica.

those look great all opened up.

I used to display some open, but as space became a premium, I closed them up.
