Seeing the diversity in this line up shows us that the market values the subject matter but places a premium on a well done models as well.
The other thing I see here is a passion for the hobby. Seeing the dedication and commitment to getting it right is inspiring and makes me want to take a closer look at the ones I let slip away on original release.
Another important facet you share is the complexity of the business. Your constant references to how the team had to come together and how many different aspects there are to producing a model car, from initial discussion of subject matter all the way through packaging and marketing, make me appreciate the tremendous value we have in these little jewels.

Very interesting statistics on those great GMP cars ! Yep, there are a lot of great Buicks over the years that make for excellent 1/18 diecast subject matter !

What a great trip down memory lane...
Thanks Matt for sharing this write up on some iconic GMP releases. I share John's comments regarding GMP's dedication and enthusiasm for the models and the hobby and it was certainly evident in GMPs replicas.
Do you have any background info on the Corvettes released? These were packed full of detail and I had hoped to see additional releases like the black '67. Legacy Motors got a few of the '65s in stock recently and they flew off the shelves!
