@chris  I have this blue one on my watch list, at the moment, and it's nowhere near a hundred much less three hundred+.

@gdh Correct!   That particular eBay seller has been around for a long time; his pricing is unbelievably inflated, almost to the point of "larceny by conversion."   However, you must credit his marketing strategy; he certainly gives the appearance that his models are truly something special.

Of course, he has the legal right to ask any price he desires, what's disconcerting & somewhat shocking though is that he actually finds buyers who pay these prices.... 10 - 15 TIMES MSRP.    In his world, a $45 1/18 diecast becomes a $450 - $520 model.

I guess the joke's on us, right?    Five to ten eBay transactions a year will net him more profit than an "honest"  seller pricing accordingly with hundreds of transactions. 

@chris It brings to mind a quote often misattributed to P.T. Barnum, about the 'continuous birthing of suckers.'

My dilemma with this Maisto model is whether or not to go for the blue, or buy the silver.
