I received Minichamps' '38 Hispano Suiza today, and...

I have to say that while the overall execution is well done, I really am dissapointed in the "painted" tail lights. Also, I think that they could have spent a little more time on the grill. Perhaps I just "don't get" the resin models. But for the cost, I had expected better. Just me I guess.

Thanks Terry for your comments about your resin model. Would you buy another?

As Richard mentioned below that the appeal of the ...

cars for the coachbuilding alone justifiesthe lack of "opening" parts and suspensions etc., But for me at least, if you are going to ask me to spend my money on a replica based on looks alone, then I think the exterior details should represent the car as close to the original as possible. And I am refering to the details like the taillamp lenses, chrome trim, instrument clusters and grill. Painted taillamps and decals for instrument clusters (D4C Delahaye) went out with "dog leg' hinges. Chrome trim should not be silver tape. I know I sound like I am ranting here, and I do appologise for that. "Would I buy another one?" I don't think so, at least not until the details improve.
