Insane Ford dealer mark-up.

This morning I was at my local Ford dealer looking for parts for GF's Mustang. There was a nice white Shelby GT350 in the showroom. I stopped to get a good look at it and to check out the price. The window sticker showed:

Mustang GT: $30K
Conversion by Shelby to GT350: $50K
Wow! $80K total price!!
Then I saw a price sticker the dealer put on the windshield:
'Added value: $65K'
Total price: $145K!!!
WHAT?!?!

Priced for the well to do car collector no doubt. I wonder if the poor car will just be a garage queen shown only at Shelby get togethers?

I'll have to be satisfied with a 1/18 model of it.:((

Hate to see the price gouging on the upcoming Camaro ZL-1!

Stuff like that is crap!

It's just a Mustang! I can take a base model Mustang and make it out perform that car in every way and still not have 1/3 of the money in it. That's insane. I hope the dealer dies of old age decades from now with that car still in his showroom.

Actually for me I have no problem with the dealer...

... charging as much as they can. If I don't want to pay the price then I
won't buy it. It isn't like there aren't literally tons of other options.

Greed is rampant in this country. Mostly because so many now are willing to pay too much for almost anything! even in a recession.
some of the 1% are 99% clueless as to value per dollar.
ruin it for the rest of us.

Is the dealer GREEDY; or the buyer STUPID!

He would be greedy if we HAD to buy that car from him; we would be stupid IF we bought it from him. Let the buyer be ware. Why not ask that price; if someone is dumb enough and has that much money to burn, why shouldn't he be able to help out the person with too much money.
