The Bisiloro (twin torpedo) DaMolNar ( for designers Mario Damonte, Carlo Molino and Enrico Nardi) was built for aerodynamics over horsepower. Nardi was a contempory of Enzo Ferrari who both worked wit Fiat underpinnings in the early days. It employed a super-tuned 62 hp Gianni 0.7 liter engine and transmission in the left pod and the driver and gas tank in the right. In between was a lower airfoil shaped connector that housed a large curved radiator. It was capable of 134 mph and averaged 89 mph during the race. Unfortunately, its drag reducing shape lead to its demise as the side draft from a passing Jaguar blew it off the track and it was a DNF. Anything that the Nardi Bisloro could accomplish was overshadowed and forgotten by the worst crash and death toll in Le Mans history during that race.

What a fascinating story and one I had never heard of. It would be just a tad discouraging to literally be blown off the track by faster car. Lol.
A very cool model and the epitome of "sleek". Who makes this one ?
"....a passing Jag blew it off the track...."  That's crazy! Rich, this is one wild looking machine but I like it. 😎Â
