not really the wheels but the tires..............
It is pretty clear that the BBR sets shown have tires with 'taller' sidewalls than what you see on the AA XK-E

Tire alternatives for the AA Jaguar Etypes
The attached images show two alternatives; on the silver roadster are tires from the 18th scale Maisto 1965 Corvette coupe I removed the whitewalls with nail polish remover- the other side of the tires have actual engraving on them-a rarity in this day and age - some purists may cringe that it is not Dunlop, as was installed at the factory. The dark green coupe has GMP GTO tires fitted-kudos to Don Klema for this alternative-if you use these they are 'loose on the rim and the foam inner liners should be removed prior to install.

The tires on the coupe are from a Lane Shelby GT-350. I had them in my parts bin because years ago I switched the stock wheels and tires on the Shelby for some TT wheels and a bit wider tire

The tires on the silver roadster are a result of a direct tire switch with the new Hot Wheels Elite Ferrari 250 SWB

I've seen the same wheels by BBR in 1:43 for $22.99, but not in 1:18 by BBR yet. There are some parts makers in Europe that make wire wheels. For all I know they could be supplying BBR with the wheels which are repackaged. Or not.

In England BBR tyre and hub sets are £24 per wheel ........
