I love that Chrysler Turbine Car. I followed one back in the day on the Garden State Parkway for 3 extra exits just so I could circle it. I saw that YM model and the Turbine Bronze color is off and It was just too crude. Best out there is the Jo Hann model kit, which I have but I'll never finish it. I saw what one modeler did with the kit at an NNL event and I was impressed. I wished I could have gotten closer to the model and the lighting wasn't so harsh.
All are sensational (and rather fast) turbine-powered automobiles. I have a Yat Ming 1/18 diecast like Marty's and it displays great ! Once, many years ago I saw one of the real Chrysler ones "out in the wild" driving down the street. It sure must have attracted attention with it's looks and sound.
Very impressive Marty. They all look great, especially the detailing on the Indy car #40 in pic 1.
"Best out there is the Jo Hann model kit."
100% true Rich! I had that kit years ago and was BLOWN AWAY!
Everything opened and was replicated perfectly with Exoto-like precision. I still remember piecing together the front wheel assembly - complete with tie-rod ends, knuckle joints, kin pins & rotating drums! I thought, "no one will even see all this stuff!"
It's fair to say, that Jo Hann kit was the best detailed and most accurate 1/25 model ever offered. It was (is ) amazing! 😎 😎 😎
- So cool to see one at a show with EVEN MORE detail - that engine linkage is fantastic!
That Jo-Han kit was my favorite too.

@marty-johnson .... Oh, I'm sure a few folks in Michigan were "gifted" some here & there. 😉 😏 But I know your neighbor in CA, Jay Leno, has one. BTW: I love your recent Handicrafts post!
