Yup!! That’s the one/s lol. Blue spinner one side, red on the other. Not sure why....

Great model and a lot of bang for the buck. Does anyone know WHY the center of spinner is red on one side, blue on the other? Does it have to do with right hand vs left hand threading as not to mix up the spinners if wheels need a pit crew swap ?

Yes, left hand and right hand threads, colors make them easy to identify.

The body sills are too deep and the doors look too short, front driving /fog lights are too large, etc. Some collectors prefer to have a few high quality models than large collection of just acceptable models, to each their own i say.

I can't say I have ever seen a perfect model, That being said, what makes a quality model? Higher price? I have seen too many high price models miss the mark. I do not consider myself a quantity buyer (or I would have many more models) but I do collect what catches my eye and what moves me. One of my favorite models from 2019 is a little dune buggy that I just can't stop looking at, and it was very cheap. My criteria are first, body shape, stance and paint quality. How much the actual car means to mean plays a part too. I wanted a street version GT40 and to me this hit the mark with flying colors (the white with blue stripes matching the Shelby GT500 and white matching the Cobra) called to me, but then some people like Picasso's and some people go for realism. Can you tell me your definition of quality? What is your favorite model? I promise I will not try and find something wrong with it but it should help me pick a good model the next time I am buying one for you. And sorry to say the more I look over this little GT40 the more I love it.

Two times here recently I have been accused of being a quantity over quality model collector, once in capital letters even. I collect what makes me happy. Look back and you will see I do not post negative comments until recently, defending myself from what I consider hurtful, or elitest comments. I have sold more models than anyone here will ever own, over 1600 in less than three years. I think the CMC California Spyder was less appealing than the Mattel Elite version (have had both) the CMC has great detail but the seats are way to thick, out of scale and the frame hangs way to far below the body line, also out of scale. I could go on but I will not, that is not my point. Maybe more people would post here if others were kinder to what people take the time to share. Saying something about a model and it's problems are one thing but to criticize the person for their likes are more of a personnel thing. I am sorry I took the time to share all these cheap models, some of which I love for what they are. I promised I would always be respectful when I posted here and that's a promise it hurts to break, but I am NOT sorry I did, and I think my Dad would understand.

I don't agree with commenting on how or what someone collects. To that collector its what they like,and for the reasons they choose one model over another like one. I have a good customer in Chicago, probably bought 500+ models over the years, who only buys Ertl/Autoworld 1970 Chevelles over Exact Detail/Acme versions because the front end sits too low on the Exact Detail ones........ even though they have much more detail. Josh, don't sweat it dude, life is too short, enjoy the hobby. Not worth the time to argue with someone over personal tastes. That's my 2 cents.

My post was not intended to criticize any of you forum posters; I enjoy reading your posts and photos of your recent editions and am not 'judging' anyone by their choices, as a former moderator [briefly] I would not do that. For the price point the Solido is a great value, no question. As a collector for over 50 years -when Ertl American Muscle could be bought for $9.99 on sale at Toy R Us I go waaaay back LOL. There used to be a saying-and still is "collect what you enjoy and enjoy what you collect' . Extending olive branch here....................
