This pic reminds me of how IMHO GM went from the absolutely gorgeous 65 Impala to the very good 66, to the not bad 67, to the very average looking 68. The same basic body style seemed to be less appealing each passing year.
Jack IMO I think that happens a lot. Again, IMO the early Mustangs and Cougars were beautiful then they got bulked up and ruined a very pure design , the same with the early Camaros and Firebirds and the early four door Continentals starting in 1961, etc., etc.

I agree completely. The doctrine of "planned obsolescence" meant doing something to the exterior of the car to make the prior year look older and in reality just took a simple and beautiful design and screwed it up.
A fine model of this 4 door Chevrolet. Nice !
