Ferrari's 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competizione as raced by actor Paul Newman's team and owned and managed by Clint Eastwood was one of 15 factory built models and only one of 5 with an all aluminum body. They took 5th overall in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1977.

Great model - It was the first of the GTB/4's I bought and was a great model for the money. I actually bought the 'second edition' of the car years later - The 'updated' model had more complete livery and used the original car to make a 'one off' model of a GTB/4 that NART ran at Watkins Glen in 1972

@franklemire Cool! I see Clint Eastwood's name on the roof.

@rich-sufficool - Yes, his name is on the roof along with a bunch of additional sponsor logos. I don't know why they were left off the original, perhaps they were haggling over fees. The GTB/4 is one of my all time favorite Ferraris - and one of the best models for the money that Kyosho ever produced. I have eight in my collection four of which are 'one off' customs

I love the Kyosho Daytonas....street or Competiziones, they're excellent models.  I think the lack of full livery on the original release is due to Kyosho basing the model on the "as restored" version, instead of the "as raced" version.  I'm 100% happy with my original release.

@gavin You are correct! Kyosho did this car in a bunch of really distinctive liveries - you can't buy a bad one.

@franklemire...that's a great one as well.  The nice thing about these racing version is Kyosho didn't just slap new livery on, they went through the trouble to make the necessary body changes too.  The flares & fuel fillers are different on both of my cars.
