Oh boy, the brand-new 1957 Oldsmobiles are out and in the dealer's showrooms ! Here, a young man sits in the showroom near the cars and figures out how he can put together the bucks to get a new one.
In the background, a young lady sits between a couple of rather shady characters. Meanwhile, that salesman kinda looks like he is wearing a shoulder holster for his .45.
Oh well, the '57 Olds look great and it would be great fun to own and drive one of these beauties !
Jimmy waits nervously, hoping he can get the $650 trade-in he wants for his seven year old Ford ragtop, so he can impress his girl Betsy with a new red Olds 88 convert. Meanwhile Captain Cuffem decides on colors for his Detective Division fleet of twelve 88 sedans.
Fun and imaginative photo.
I'm confused a bit. Did you build this diorama or is this Photoshopped? Are those '57 Oldsmobiles actual models?
Excellent Mike. The 1/18 scale models look fabulous in this showroom and the people make it come alive.
Rich, this is a single digital photograph using scale props and 1/18 models. The diecasts are an Highway 61 gold 1957 Oldsmobile, a blue and white Yat Ming '57 Olds convertible and a 1949 Ford Maisto convertible converted into a top-down version.
The scene has various 1/18 scale figures and doll-house props and the Olds showroom is just the front but with other items placed to make it appear to be a full showroom.
The main flash was a Metz flash and large softbox-diffuser. The young man sitting in front was digitally given a beard in the computer and some small slave flashes went off at the same time as the main light.
Lol, after my stroke I probably can't recall what I had for breakfast this morning but I remember things about this image and how much I like scale model 1957 Oldsmobiles !
