This is a beautiful 1962 Ford Thunderbird, as done by Welly. It was quite inexpensive but really nicely done and shows off the great T-Bird look for that year in top-up convertible form.
Β I did have the Anson 1963 Ford Thunderbird coupe in red, but I had to downsize a bit when I moved. It was a really cool diecast and the color (and price) were excellent. Those year Thunderbirds were tremendous subjects for any scale models diecasts.
Cool T-Bird & nice pics. The wheels are a bit wonky but overall, it's not too bad. The top-upΒ is a nice touch.Β Many years ago, I staged mine in a parking lot pic. See it?
@100ford2003 Steve, the Anson 1963 Sports Roadster is an excellent image except for the trunk opening like the coupe instead of being hinged from the rear like the convertibles. I have two of these which I painted to match my 1/1 in Champaign with black interiors.

I had the light blue one and yeah I had to downsize also so it went bye-bye unfortunately.

Hey Chris, I noticed your Chevy has w/w's. Did it come with those ? When I got my Chevy I found out that the w/w's were facing inward !
@chris What a wonderful image! Β Isn't this where we all want to be?
Well, quite frankly, now that you mention it Charles.... I suppose you're right. Heck, I'd be happy just to go back to the time when I actually snapped that pic, which was about 12 years ago. It's hard to believe...seems like yesterday. π π
It looks great just hanging out among the others in this realistic parking lot scene ! I think I have the same replicas, in almost the same colors, as all these 1:18 beauties.

Gee-wiz... you're asking me to think π π π€¨ πΒ Β
I believe I swapped out the blackwall 1962 Maisto Chevy tires with whitewall 1963 Maisto Dodge 330 tires. At the time, I could get 1/18 '63 Dodge 330s for about $9 each. So, I bought "a few"Β just for the whitewall tires.
The '62 Chevy blackwalls ended up on my Sunstar '65 Ford pick-up, which had totally wrong "wide-whites."Β Β Whew! Glad all this "thinking" is over! πΒ Oh yeah, I color-matched the rims too.... Sunstar's were black.
