How can you make such a cheap model look so darn good...lol...?
@100ford2003 Right. It's a pretty decent model...but Mike makes it look even better. I hinged the trunk on mine & added a spare. Also, this 2-dr sedan body could easily be converted into a 4-dr sedan. That was my intension when I bought it..... about 85 projects ago. 😔 😔
 I have always liked this model as there are very few base line cars modelled.
It is a really good model from Ertl and I also like both base line and high-end diecasts/automobiles, Bob. Each have their charms and, of course, automobiles came in many different trim and price levels and offer a great representation.
Biscayne-Bel Air-Impala-Caprice ..... over the years, they are very cool and are superb diecast replicas of those lines, each in their own way.
@chris - This is the model I used for the roof on my '66 Chevelle Chevoom project. I'm sure you remember it required a lot of modification with narrowing, repositioning the "B" pillar, and sectioning the "C" pillar to give the trailing edge a less horizontal degree angle. Â
