(Pics) Mid-century modern - Pontiac
Mid-century modern is kind of an architectural and design term referring to a style that was in vogue from roughly the mid-1930's to about the early Seventies, and reaching a peak in the Fifties and early Sixties. Check out Plan59.com for some cool examples.
1959 was a peak year for this style and it was noticeable in cars of that time, too .....most especially the sensational '59 dreamboats from all the manufacturers that year. Some Desert Modern style architecture (a form of mid-century modern) is used in a few backgrounds shots in the following series from the Big Three.

Great pictures Mike. Wish Sunstar would keep them coming.
Too bad Sunstar didn't do the '59 Buick and Cadillac also. That could have been a great collection of 1959 GM's! Whoops..forgot an Impala!
Okay Mike. Once again see my remarks on the Mercury that also apply to this beautiful Pontiac. Sure glad I already own these models as you have surely made them must haves if I didn't.
Are the WW's on the Pontiac too wide? The other Sunstar '59s look to be correct.
A great model and outstanding photos. The backgrounds are perfect.
I have the Silvermist Gray version and my whitewalls are the same.
