(PICS) Tamiya's 1/12 Diecast/plastic/sheet aluminum Caterham Super 7
Caterham acquired the rights to continue producing and improving the 1957 - 1972 Lotus Seven.
Tamiya's superbly modelled 1/12 scale early '90s kit version uses a 1700cc Ford Cosworth BDR motor, and since most of the frame and mechanical detail is no longer visible when the body panels are applied, I used some of the box-art on the base of my display case for reference.
I built the model during the 1990s and chose to paint the green molded plastic parts to improve the visual realism.
