(PICS) The INCREDIBLE work of Roger Zimmermann in Switzerland. His amazing 1/12 1956 Continental.

Along with countless others I've been watching, in utter amazement, the nearly 5 year build of this truly magnificent 1/12 scale replica of a 1956 Lincoln Continental 2-dr hardtop. Beyond words, beyond description.

You must remember that EVERY SINGLE PART, CHROME, GLASS, RUBBER, FABRIC, ETC... EVERY SINGLE PART, other than the scale nuts, bolts & screws that hold this work of art together, WERE ALL FABRICATED BY ROGER.

Brass body parts were hand-hammered on a scale wooden body buck, rubber tires were cast from hand-made molds, fabrics & leather seats were stretched over hand carved pattern solids. And the list goes on & on & on....

Also note that this 1/12 model will feature working power windows that operate with SCALE SWITCHES!

Roger is near the end of this outstanding build and is currently "sweating the details" involved with final assembly.

I thought some of you might want to see this. I CONTINUE to be BLOWN AWAY!

Roger currently has 81 pages of text & pics. You can fast forward to the end or start anywhere to view progress.

NOTE: Roger also completed a 1/12 Studebaker Avanti & Olds Tornado. Simply an amazing MASTER CRAFTSMAN!

A few years ago, some guy in Italy produced a scale model of a Ferrari that actually runs...

... I don't know the scale and I don't have a link, but it was featured on "Top Gear" and can probably be found on YouTube by doing a search.

This thing was phenomenal. Besides the engine (a scale V-12), everything on the car worked! Switches, gears, brakes, lights... EVERYTHING!

Jaw Dropping - XCLNT Craftsmanship ... such attention to detail

One has to have cranial diecast knowledge in order for the idea to come out thru the finger tips

Cranial Diecast ... I do not have ....

His work just freezes me into amazement.

I have built custom motorcycles ... I have built a few modifications to some cars that makes them go faster and stop faster

But what this guy does ?

I do not have the verbiage to express my amazement, my total appreciation for what he does and for what he can do

I am totally blown away

How does know what material to use

How does know how to use that lathe

His talents are beyond anything I have ever been exposed to ... Talents truly not of this world

I have soooo many questions

I'll terminate my rant

Standing Ovation to this Extremely Gifted Human Being.
