The Porsche 911 series have always been a bit squirrely to drive, but this 2018 991.2 series turbocharged GT2 RS, with 700 HP is a handful. Straight line, it handily beats the more roadworthy GT3 RS with 0-60 in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph. It's super light weight with carbon fiber panels and seats. With all that power, rear wheel drive and very little electronic assistance, a simple mistake at speed could be catastrophic. Designed to be as slippery as possible, even the hood badge is just a decal. Between 2018 and 2019, about 1000 were sold costing anywhere from a base price under $300,000 to as high as $350.000 with the Weissach package (this model) which lightens, strengthens and adds a track ready roll bar. The secondary market on this little rocket ship goes between $400,000 to a half million.

Hi Rich,

Thanks for your great write-up and pics of this fine machine and model. I find it interesting that Autoart neglected to add valve stems to the wheels. That’s really cheaping out on a feature that, IMO, is very noticeable in 1/18 scale.

I guess that tire valve stems can’t be aerodynamically fitted to this particular Porsche or perhaps they fall under a new monthly subscription plan.

It is a gorgeous car and an astounding replica of it. Great details abound on this scale model. A true star in one's display !
