Question for the masses; How many of you ask your wife or significant other for diecast cars for
Christmas?
Never................
my wife hates gifts without the element of surprise - either getting or giving.
That reminds me, I have to figure out what to get her for Christmas....Do you think she will like a 1:18 diecast?
Sure, several times...
Georgia would spot me perusing the latest DM catalogs in the pre Christmas weeks, and ask if there was any "special" car I wanted. I could usually find at least a couple, and she would go ahead and order one or the other, so there was still an element of surprise. She even has her own DM account. Fond memories.
Usually every year! And generally, I'll just point out what I want and where to buy it ...
... and it ends up under the tree. She can't figure out why I never ask for anything else BUT a model car. But honestly, there isn't anything else I'd rather have.
Women love to get vacuum cleaners for Christmas Frank............................................pic
You can thank Marlowe Frank....He gave me the idea
Every time I find a nice Die Cast model I say to my wife and son...
Look, This is what I want for Christmas !!!
Always the same answer:
No way, not another one, you have enough...
Never!
Well now .... this is how I play it
I buy the diecast that i want. The night before Christmas, I wrap it up, under the tree, and act so suprised that the family got me this for Christmas. Worked good for 2 years .. nobody ever fessed up nor would they admitt it. Then one year I go busted . caught red handed ...
LOL......Her eyes would role back into her head and I'd wind up with a kick in the behind.
You got a great wife Marty.
MONEY.....Money always works. Used to buy her jewelry. She has more than she can wear. This year
I sold a couple of my gold chains and gave her the check and said Merry Christmas. Unbelievable what gold is worth today and how happy it can make the better half.
A long time ago I did. Not anymore.
