@gavin Most people don't know this but the first Highway 61 Cudas has an error in the manufacturing of them. I have to of them and both have this error, it you look at the photo of yours and the photo of mine you will see the rear wheels on yours are correctly centered in the wheel well while on the first release the rear wheels are farther back in the wheel well and not centered. This was quickly corrected for additional releases.
I do see it in your pics, @john3976. I'd never heard about that issue. How many releases were affected before it was fixed?
Hmm.... I've never heard that before. I have 4 or 5 HW61 Cudas but not one looks like those. Personally, I'd have to fix that; it just looks too "wacky." 🤔 🤔
@gavin I don't know how many were sold but I purchased during the first release and I think after some got into collectors hands it was brought up and a new run was done to correct the rear axle placement.
- Nice 'Stanger collection!
- Cool looking little turbo with those "fin-rims!"
@gavin Yes that is the John Wick Mustang, interesting fact the move did not use real Boss 429 Mustangs, they built replicas, the Boss 429 is to rare and valuable to destroy in the crash scenes. The cars they did build did not even come close to projecting a true Boss 429 Mustang, there are many give-a-ways that these cars were likely Mach 1 Mustangs as they had a lot of incorrect parts and pieces on them to be a Boss 429. These were spoilers, hood scoops. The steering wheel was from a Shelby plus at least some of the cars were automatics instead of the 4 speed manual that the Boss 429 came with.
Thank-you John for a great Saturday morning read ! I loved every Mustang shown. I've painted the wheels silver on that blue Maisto Shelby. As much as I've tried to like black wheels, I just never will. BTW, my love of Mustangs is reflected in my email address. (mustangboi53atgmail.com) the 53 for my birth year. One of my fav 'stangs (which I didn't sell off) is the '66 Tahoe Turquoise by Carlectables. Its incredibly detailed.

Of all the Mustangs in my collection, the one you have is the one I want the most. TWICE (TWICE!!) I passed on one, thinking, "Ah, I'll pick one up later..." 😫 😫 😫
I got lucky Chris. Got 2 of them...one for my brother...way back in early 2000's.
I used to watch Joe Kelley's videos... can't remember what he titled them. If I'm remembering correctly there was no USA distributor for Carlectables (based in Australia) so I got them from a seller in Vancouver BC.
I did get the LHD. It's a beautiful model Mustang.
