THanks, @rich-sufficool. I do too. Nice looking model, too bad its sealed. But TSM was the only other choice & its sealed & a lot more money.

I always thought / lusted that prices would come down to where I could afford one...in 1:1
Unfortunately for me, never happened.
I've always loved the beautiful styling of this BMW. In my world, it's perfect !

@gavin Cool looking car I know nothing about, other than it's an orange Porsche race car, but I did notice the COOL graphics painted those "turbo-finned" rims. 😎

The Acura NSX, Nissan 300ZX, BMW 850CI, BMW 507, Porsche Slant Nose and one I'm still looking for...a '76-77 VW Scirocco in red just like the 1:1 I had.

Thanks guys! Revell certainly had some unusual gems in their lineup. That Scirocco was a great model. I had its successor, the Corrado.

I wanted one so bad but couldn't believe the price !
I only paid 7K for my '78 Scirocco. I bought it off the showroom floor as soon as I laid eyes on it.
It was a special production model.
It was Alpine White, all trim was blacked out. It sat low on wide wheels and 50series tires
Had Recaro style seats in a black corduroy type fabric.
I owned it from Nov '77 till June '85 and only did what I consider to be minor maintenance on it meaning the battery, brakes and that was it. I never had to replace the clutch
I believe when I sold it I had about 120,000 miles on it. And I did all of the maintenance on it by myself I do know that it did spit out a water pump at one time that cost me a whole $22 !
I actually wanted a Corrado so badly but when I saw the price it's like okay forget it.
