@gavin Thanks to you too Gavin!!ย You started the longest running Forum topic/thread ever (I think ).
Your Vipers are cool. I have VIVID memories of being shown that Bburagoย "secretly" ย by a Dealer in early 1991; It was like a drug deal!!
He had received a few cases in advance. My friend and I were there to purchase train stuff, when he brought one out to show us. We were both impressed. My buddy bought one on the spot for $20.ย In 1991, Bburago & Ertlย pretty much OWNED the 1/18 diecast market.
1988 Ford Mustang Florida Highway Patrol car by GMP. These are hard to find and sadly they will have missing antenna's like this one plus most will have paint rash as well. I wish ACME would re-release these. The ones you find for sale have big prices put on them when you can find one. I drove four different FHP mustangs during my career with FHP. These were fun cars to drive with there five speed manual transmissions.ย
My 1987 Mustang patrol car would do 135 MPH top speed, clocked on the installed VASCAR in my unit. VASCAR is a speed measuring device that is based on time over distance. Aerodynamic drag was the limiting factor. GMP got some things wrong like they put dual K40 CB antennas on the rear of the car but omitted the police radio antenna on the trunk lid that was in the center and they totally got the light bar wrong, that is a CODE three style light bar on the roof, the mustangs had Jet Sonic light bars. There was also no shotgun rack in the trunk.ย

That's awesome that you drove these iconic Mustangs for your job, @john3976!
Just a great Autoartย effort; from any angle these MACHs are perfectly replicated. This Yellow looks real sharp.ย I thought ONLY 3 colors were offered: Red, Black & Yellow. I settled for Black, but about 7 weeks ago I saw one in White.ย I NEVER knew White was offered....ย I love it!
White w/blacked out trim looks great on some cars. It looked great on my '78 Scirocco Champagne/Sidewinder Edition. Wish I still had it.

Back in high school/early college a good friend of mine (who could've been a fashion model ) had a 1973 Mustang convertible painted exactly like this black & white MACH 1...and his car had an all-white factory interior.ย Talk about a sharp car!ย We had NO PROBLEMS picking up girls, none! ๐ ๐ ๐ย
1972 Oldsmobile convertible 1972 Indy 500 pace car by Lane Exact Detail. Lane nailed the rims on their Oldsmobiles.ย

I'm sure that many here can agree that rims can either make or break a model. These look fantastic. Only thing is I can't tell whether or not there are valve stems in the rims..lol.
@100ford2003"Pic?"ย Heck I've noticed that entire posts and even entire threads have disappeared. I know John K. has rightfully deleted some, but why other comments & pics have vanished is a mystery.ย When you figure it out, let me know. Thanks!ย ๐ค ๐คจ ๐ค

It was the pic with Shelby's hat on the fender...hmm, what happened.
