That's one I wish I'd grabbed @chris. CMC also made this, if I remember right, but I would have been perfectly happy with that Ricko...looks great! Love the bars on the windscreen.

Yes, CMC's is better, no question, but surprising Ricko's is pretty close. This and just 2 or 3 other models are the ONLY examples I have that are NOT the best available replicas of a particular vehicle. In other words, I wouldn't have and Ertl 1959 Studebaker if Autoart made the same model, but I'd ditch the Autoart if Exoto produced a '59 Stude. Make sense? Does this make me a snob? 😀 🤔 😀 😏
P.S. I only RECENTLY discovered the reason for those vertical bars over the windshield.
The bars on the outside of the windshield were likely to prevent objects coming through the windshield in the forum of animals and even people as that race was a dangerous race and people would line the side of the road as cars would race though towns.

That's exactly right. During the early stages of this 1952 Panamerican road race, a seagull crashed through the windshield. The Mercedes team saw to it that THAT would never happen again. 😏 😏
That's a great pic with great perspective. The GTO appears to be a 1:1. 👍
Yep, love this truck! So glad KK-Scale eventually tooled up a few American rigs as part of their Road Kings series. For years, they did just European rigs, when this PB was released, I had to have one...and...would've GLADLY paid more for an opening hood w/engine. But still, these are very nice as is! 😎 😎
