@grockwood Many years ago I fabricated several variations of these 1/18 1955 & '56 Fords.  I was contemplating a more authentically detailed but weathered '55 or '56 "barn find"  inspired by this Ertl set.  I also considered a "gasser style barn find" influenced by Marty Johnson's AWB period-correct drag cars.
The Fords are super nice Chris but, OMG, that '55 Chev is KILLER KOOL! The rust-out areas are the best I have ever seen!
@john3976 I like this set-up because the years are close together; it all looks plausible...and cool!
@perrone1 Thanks Tony but to be clear... that '55 Chevy 'vert model is NOT mine; I had nothing to do with it. It was for illustration purposes only.Â
That being said, I SCREWED up! 😬 😬 😬  I mistakenly posted it INSTEAD of a similar looking pic of a '55 Ford 'vert model (which I can't locate at the moment ).
It IS amazing and I still would love to see the intended Ford pic. The completion of the barn find Fords is a very worthy project if you do decide to go forward with it.@perrone1 Thanks Tony but to be clear... that '55 Chevy 'vert model is NOT mine; I had nothing to do with it. Completely agree! And it only ups the price a couple dollars.............I tried so hard to say that with a straight face! The big dollar difference is worth it; the open-air car is, still to this day, astonishing!Oooooooooo! Not just an SLR, but the Roadster! Oooooooooo!Â
Â
Thanks, Tony. I think the proportions of the Coupe are a little strange...that's pretty much fixed by removing the roof. 😉Â
Â
I only have the 1/12th issue in silver in coupe form! In 1/18th, red and roadster format - Oo Laa Laa!!

@gavin ....any additional pics of these beauty would be welcomed. I really like it!
