C5, C6 and C7 Vette's in race trim are spectacular
I just recently got to see the C7 versions up close at Mid-Ohio, they are vey impressive. Better looking in person than on TV. Thanks for sharing, nice shot.

I've got the #50-version of the Compuware-car. Why? '1' of the co-drivers is Kelly 'Collins'.....
...no relation though. LOL!

I saw a C5-R up close at the CCC 45th/Corvette 50th birthday party.
Jim Jaeger (founder of Cincinnati Microwave) hosted our party at his estate and got Chevy to bring one to the party to display along with his one of five 63 Grandsport (#5 if I remember). Two gorgeous cars. He has sold the 63 GS since then for several million (bought a super rare Ferrari if I recall correctly) but it was an amazing celebration.

Thanks, Josh. I love these modern racing Vettes...have 3 versions (all quite different, in more than just livery) & the C6R. Still need to get the C7R.

Cool story, Robert...thanks for posting.
So, I saw a Grand Sport Roadster at the Simeone Foundation museum in Philadelphia. Upon doing more research, it seems that this car (chassis 002) was previously owned by Jim Jaeger..so we're talking about the same car. Mr. Jaeger also commissioned a replica, as it was decided that 002 was the only GS left that was in original (unrestored) condition.

The Simeone Foundation museum is a must see, if you're ever in Philadelphia. Original Shelby Daytona Coupe, Porsche 917LH "Hippie", Ferrari 250 TR, among others.
